There are four different Commander decks from which to choose:

- Necron Dynasties
- Forces of the Imperium
The Epistolary Librarian card in the Forces of the Imperium deck and the Exalted Flamer of Tzeentch card in The Ruinous Powers deck will, in many of the printed decks, appear in the section of the deck containing tokens.
Each commander contains:
- 100-card ready-to-play Warhammer 40,000 Commander Deck
- 1 foil-etched Display Commander
- 10 double-sided tokens, 1 life tracker, and 1 deck box
- Deck includes 2 legendary traditional foil cards
- Introduces 42 Warhammer-themed Magic: The Gathering cards
